Precision manufacturing. Secure systems. Compliant supply chain.
Defense programs need manufacturing partners who safeguard sensitive technical data with the same discipline they bring to engineering solutions. Great Lakes Industrial earned CMMC Level 2 certification through an independent C3PAO assessment, reflecting our dedication to protecting Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) across every stage of manufacturing. A smaller supplier base translates to less compliance overhead and a lower security risk profile.

Reduced Risk

Your data is protected by validated cybersecurity practices designed to guard against real-world threats.Level 2 certification confirms we've put in place all 110 security controls spanning 17 domains, covering everything from access control and incident response to system and communications protection.

Supply Chain Compliance

Work with a certified partner that supports DoD cybersecurity requirements. We've curated a compliant supply base and ensured that all contract requirements are flowed down and our customers' CUI stays safe.

Faster Contract Readiness

Reduce delays tied to supplier security concerns, meet flow-down requirements the first time, and move forward with confidence on DoD contracts. We've preserved the speed and agility that make us a strong contract partner while layering in solid security practices that are now required from the defense industrial base. The outcome is a production environment and supply chain where sensitive projects can go from concept to reality without sacrificing either pace or cybersecurity protection.

CMMC Level 2 Compliant Components We Manufacture

Defense programs rarely start with a full drawing package on day one. They start with a part number, a material spec, and a supplier who can receive the print without creating a compliance problem. Great Lakes Industrial manufactures and supplies the gaskets, seals, O-rings, fluid connectors, hydraulic valves, molded components, fasteners, and fluid power assemblies those programs specify, with technical data handled inside our certified, access-controlled environment, the same CMMC manufacturing environment our customers have come to rely on.

Program engineers need expert technical support, quality control, and innovative solutions when designing mission-critical defense applications, and our defense contractors count on us to meet that demand securely. We’re a C3PAO-certified engineered solutions provider whose system meets all 110 NIST SP 800-171 security controls, so your technical data, including Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), stays safe.

We manufacture grommets, boots, bellows, molded shapes, over-molded parts, profile seals, and custom extrusions in rubber and polymer compounds, precisely customized for specific OEM applications in a variety of shapes, sizes, colors, and material hardness.

Fasteners and Hardware

Metal, plastic, and specialty fasteners, including screws, nuts, bolts, pins, rings, clamps, and clips, available as line items or kitted alongside the sealing components they install with.

Materials and Standards

Mil-Spec materials and parts available. ISO 9001 certified quality system, backed by a CMMC certified facility. Material certifications and documentation packages provided on request.

Not sure if your part is a catalog or a custom component?

Whether what you need is a catalog off the shelf (COTS) part or a custom component we’ll work to engineer the right solution for your application. Once we’ve aligned on what you need our aim is to be your stocking distributor partner. If we’re manufacturing the component ourselves, sourcing it from our trusted supplier base, or kitting we’ll stock inventory for your demand so that you won’t be beholden to manufacturer’s lead times and order minimums. We’ll carry that inventory at any of our facilities across the US whichever is most conductive to your production needs. We even support same day delivery for select customers in the Midwest.

Who We Support Across the Defense Supply Chain

Compliance obligations flow downhill. Whether you’re a defense contractor managing multiple DoD contracts or a smaller shop with less flow-down requirements to satisfy, the requirement to protect Controlled Unclassified Information lands on everyone who touches it. Great Lakes Industrial is built to be a safe and secure link in our customer’s supply chain. We support both ends of that range, across the specific supply chains our customers operate in.

Prime Contractors:

Secure, in-house manufacturing and an approved supplier network to support active defense programs. Safeguarding technical data providing documentation compliance teams need for supplier qualification.

Tier 1 and Tier 2 Suppliers:

GLI is a CMMC-certified partner able to meet the flow-down requirements contracts now stipulate. You get a certified source for sealing technologies and fluid-connecting components, and a partner who understands what your prime is going to ask of you.

CMMC Level 2 Manufacturing FAQs

What does it mean that Great Lakes Industrial is CMMC Level 2 certified?
It means an accredited third-party assessor, not GLI, verified that our practices meet the Level 2 requirements for protecting Controlled Unclassified Information. The certification applies to a dedicated, access-controlled environment we built specifically for handling sensitive technical data. It's a verified assessment, not a self-attestation.
Can I send you technical drawings marked as CUI?
Yes. We accept CUI-marked technical data through controlled channels, including encrypted file transfer, secure email, and access-controlled portals where required. NDAs are available and routine for technical discussions.
Do you have to be CMMC certified to work on defense contracts?
Not yet in every case, it depends on the specific contract requirement. On July 13, 2026, the Pentagon suspended the Phase 2 transition to mandatory third-party (C3PAO) assessment, the requirement built to verify that a supplier’s compliance claims hold up. For now, CMMC Level 1 and Level 2 rely solely on contractor self-assessments. CMMC remains codified in federal regulation, though, and its cybersecurity obligations are still a prerequisite for doing business with the Pentagon, which is part of why the industry is moving toward mandatory third-party assessment becoming the norm. It’s why GLI made the early decision to become C3PAO certified now, ahead of the requirement
How does GLI's CMMC (C3PAO) certification help simplify my supply chain compliance?
It helps in a specific way. Using a certified supplier for components doesn't certify your organization, but it does address the flow-down expectation that partners handling your CUI are themselves compliant. It removes one line of risk from your supply base, and one question from your customer's assessment.
How quickly can you quote a defense program part?
We respond to RFQs quickly, including short-notice requests, and ship same day on stocked items. Custom parts depend on material, tooling, and quantity. Send us the print, and we'll give you a realistic timeline rather than an optimistic one.
Can you provide your certification documentation for our supplier file?
Yes. We can share our certifications, including CMMC certification details, SPRS scores, ISO 9001 certification, and material certifications. Send us an inquiry of what you need.
